Alien Abduction

From Stories Wiki

Two words: alien abduction. I'm telling you it happened. You may not believe me and trust me, I wouldn't either if I hadn't experienced it myself last year. It happened when I was taking my new beagle puppy, Nala, for a walk around the block at midnight. I live in the absolute middle of nowhere so there weren't any street lamps nearby but I figured that was all right; the constellations above me were clearer without light pollution. God, I wish I could still worry about things like light pollution.

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to admire the stars because things took a terrible turn fast. Halfway down Elm Street, I was abruptly taken aback by a massive object in the sky. You already know what I'm talking about--a spaceship. This thing seemed to have just materialized in the sky ahead of me, emitting a low humming sound that made the hair on my neck stand on end. I don't know if it was curiosity, awe, or just pure terror but no matter how much I willed my legs to run, they stayed bolted to the ground as I watched the vessel get closer.

Nala tucked her tail between her legs and whimpered next to me, occasionally letting out a squealing yip at the ship. I wanted to pet her, comfort her--hell, I just wanted to pick her up and flee but just as I found the strength to turn away, a sudden white glow blinded me and I felt my feet lift off the concrete.

There are a lot of stories about alien abductions and they tend to involve memory loss. However, that's not the case at all. I can recall nearly every minute detail of what happened on that ship and honestly, I'd rather not.

The first thing I remember is the eyes--three of them, all protruding, inky black, and staring directly at me. The second thing I remember is the pincers. Snip, snap, like lobster claws colored a murky gray. The third thing I remember is the sheer horror I felt as the creature slithered towards me, its slimy tentacles leaving a thick black ooze on the floor as it neared the wall I was leaning against. I reached for Nala, only to realize I was no longer holding her leash and that she was nowhere to be seen.

The alien clicked its claws and sputtered a putrid oil from its gaping mouth, dripping the tarry black substance onto my arm. I shrieked and grabbed my wrist as my skin sizzled and popped but before I could do much of anything else, the alien wrapped a wide tentacle around my throat and squeezed tight as it extended a pincer into my abdomen, tearing away my flesh.

It happened that quick. I probably don't need to go into much more detail for you to understand that I'm dead now. I don't know why I was abducted and I certainly don't know why this creature attacked me so viciously. What I do know is that the ship dropped my body back onto the sidewalk next to my dog but somehow, I'm still here. At least my mind is. I suppose this is the afterlife but honestly, I'd much rather the Christians be right so I'd go to Heaven or Hell. I've been stuck on Elm Street ever since that day, and I haven't seen a soul around aside from Nala. It's lonely here, and I miss my family. Did they ever find me? Do they know what happened? Probably not.

I haven't seen that ship around anymore but even if I did, I can't see anyone. I wouldn't be able to warn them if it ever came back. Jesus Christ, please don't let that ship come back.
